Onyx Salon runs this website and the nail studio at 2361 NW Westover Rd, Portland, OR 97210. This page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
The short version
This website does not ask you for anything. There is no booking form, no contact form, and no email signup. To book, you call us. Everything we know about you, you told us on the phone or in the chair.
We do not sell your information. We never have.
What this website collects
Standard visit records. Our website host keeps normal technical logs: the type of device and browser you used, your general area, which pages you opened, and the date and time. This happens on every website. It does not identify you by name.
Nothing else. The price estimator on this site runs entirely inside your own browser. Your selections are never sent to us or stored anywhere. Close the page and they are gone.
If you tap the phone number, you leave this site. What happens after that is covered by your phone carrier's rules, not ours.
What the salon collects
When you call or visit. Your name, phone number, the service you want, and which technician you prefer. We use it to book you and to call you back if something changes.
Health notes. Before some services we ask about allergies, skin conditions, diabetes, circulation problems, or recent injuries. We write it down so we can serve you safely. We do not share it with anyone.
When you pay. Card payments are handled by our card reader and the bank behind it. We never see or store your full card number.
Photos. We photograph nails and nail art for our website. We ask before we shoot, and we do not use your name or your face. If you would rather we did not, just say so. If a photo of yours is already up and you want it down, call 503-224-2926 and we will take it down.
Who we share it with
Nobody, except the businesses that make the salon run: our card processor and our accountant. We will also share information if the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or a health investigation.
How long we keep it
Client notes stay with us as long as you are a client, and for 3 years after your last visit. Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. After that we destroy them.
Your choices
Call (503) 224-2926 and we will:
- Tell you what we have about you
- Fix anything that is wrong
- Delete it, unless the law says we have to keep it
We may ask you to confirm who you are first. Oregon residents have privacy rights under state law. We honor these requests either way.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information online from anyone under 13. Clients under 18 need a parent or guardian present. See our Terms of Use.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top.
